Chess & Chill
Join R-CADE for an afternoon of chess & chill. They will have a number of chess boards set up in the cafe, experienced players and first time gamers are welcome to attend!
About Chess & Chill
This will not be a competitive event and we will not be using chess timers, but you are welcome to bring your own boards and timers if you like.
Our chess & chill event will be running during our quiet time game session which runs from 12-2pm. During this time we reduce the capacity in our venue, lower the volume of games in the arcade and encourage an overall calmer gaming atmosphere.
It's free to sign up to our chess & chill event, but if you decide to stay and play chess, or any of our over 250 boardgames, there is a £3 fee to pay. Reserving a spot in our chess & chill event does not grant you access to our arcade area, if you would like to play video games you can pre book passes via our website HERE, or pay in person when you arrive. Please note that our venue accepts card or app payments only.
Our chess & chill event is suitable for gamers aged 10 and up. Kids under 12 must have an adult (18+) stay in the venue throughout the event, this adult does not need to reserve a spot unless they also wish to play.
Our cafe will be open throughout the event for you to purchase food and drink. You can view our full menu on our website.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
