About Snake Summer: Cryptids and Lost Worlds!

It's the year of the snake, and we're celebrating with cryptids! Join us after hours to learn about the snakes of fact and fiction!

This summer, join us at the Hunterian Zoology Museum to explore the snakes of fact and fiction with a programme of after-hours events designed to celebrate the serpentine!

Join us on Friday 29 August for Cryptids and Lost Worlds. The palaeontologist and cryptozoological expert Darren Naish will join literary critic Will Tattersdill to discuss sightings of strange creatures - real and imagined!

Snake Summer runs between 27 June and 5 September 2025 and is hosted by the College of Arts & Humanities, in collaboration with The Hunterian.
