What is decorating slip? What is an underglaze? What is a glaze? When, why and how to use each one. Learn the difference and practical applications of each one.
In this crash course for beginners you will gain a good foundation for working safely with various surface decoration materials to achieve the look you want. You are encouraged to bring a few of your own pots to work on, both leather-hard and bisqued. If you don't have your own pots you will be provided with small test pots and test tiles to work with.
nb: Our studio works solely with brushing glazes. Dip glazing will be discussed but not practiced during this class. After the class your pots and samples will be left at the studio, fired by studio technicians and ready to collect in approx 2 weeks.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
