The evening features the World Film Premieres of ‘Samhain’ and ‘Thar Farraige’ directed by acclaimed filmmaker Derrick Belcham, as well as a live electronic performance by Linda Buckley.
Linda Buckley returns with ‘Thar Farraige’, a new album weaving contemporary chamber music with Irish and Scottish folk traditions. Its title track ‘Thar Farraige’, features collaborations with Brìghde Chaimbeul and The Maxwell Quartet, merging traditional instrumentation with electronics inspired by keening, Gaelic psalm singing and emigration ballads. The album includes ‘Samhain’, a piece for solo pipes commissioned by Chamber Music Scotland, as well as new electronic works written and performed by Linda Buckley.
