This session is a perfect opportunity to swap plants from your collection for new ones - the idea being: bring a plant, take a plant. You can also bring cuttings of plants and swap these. Please ensure your plant is healthy and pest free before swapping.
During the event, people will swap their plants by having a one to one chat with another plant owner and agreeing on an appropriate swap together. Please be aware, your offers may be countered or rejected as plants can have different values to different people.
Plants should only be swapped at the event, no payment should be exchanged. You can however give plants away for free and if you want, you can donate plants to the permanent Eco-Hub plant swap! We encourage you to label your plants beforehand however, we have labels on the day that you can use.
There are no size restrictions on plants you want to swap, however it is worth noting you will need to carry your plants to and from the event. at the event, no payment should be exchanged. We also recommend bringing a box or a bag to the event so you can transport your new plants.
As well as the plant-swap, the GUEST Bio-Diversity promoter, Andy Muir will be leading this session and giving out tips and tricks for propagation. You will learn the best ways to take a cuttings from your houseplants and germinate them.
No experience is needed, just enthusiasm and willingness to learn! Tea and Coffee will be available to purchase on the day for 50p a cup. This workshop is for university staff, students and the wider Glasgow community!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
