Boko Yout is the outsider infiltrating the mainstream. Led by Paul Adamah, the genre-defying Swedish band has carved out its own sonic universe with Afro - Grunge – a wild and fearless collision of punk-funk pulse, raw alt-rock aggression, and off-kilter experimentalism. The result is music that feels like a riot and a ritual at once: visceral, disruptive, spiritual and deeply rooted in ideas of liberation, creativity and intentional living.
In September 2025, Boko Yout unveiled their highly anticipated debut album “GUSTO” (Hoopdiggas Recordings) – a bold concept work unfolding as therapy sessions with the fictional Dr. Gusto, diving head-first into self-interrogation, ego, identity, anxiety and artistic autonomy. Explosive yet introspective, the album expands Boko Yout’s world and has been met with rave reviews across Scandinavian and international media.
Long before the release, the band had already earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most electrifying new live acts. Named one of just 15 nominees for the Music Moves Europe Awards 2025, they quickly became a standout among the continent’s rising innovators. Their 2025 spring tour– including 12 European dates supporting Viagra Boys – left critics stunned. Rolling Stone (DE) crowned them “Winners in the Energy Flash category,” while The Great Escape called their performance “the biggest, loudest, most original rough-cut diamond of the weekend.” Renowned for boundary-breaking performances that blur the lines between concert, catharsis, and performance art, the band caps off a triumphant year with a major arena tour supporting Viagra Boys in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Helsinki – alongside headline shows across the Nordics.
