Spend the day getting creative and learning a new skill with artist Amelia Morgan, at the historic house Provan Hall, and take home a moody painting inspired by Golden Age Dutch masters.
- Learning about symbols and techniques used by the Dutch masters with a brief talk about this period of art history.
- Draw the interiors at Provan Hall with charcoal and white chalk to create compositions and learn and try out key drawing techniques
- Create a painting on canvas, using a limited palette based on pigments available in the 17th century, of a moody interior laden with meaning.
All materials will be provided, and although no experience is necessary, its recommended that participants have an interest in painting and drawing to make the most from this workshop.
