This January, The Ivy Collection is hosting a full week-long Burns celebration in honour of Scotland's national poet. From 19 until 25th January, The Ivy Buchanan Street, Glasgow will host a calendar of festivities with locally inspired dishes, live music and convivial Scottish spirit, celebrating the life and legacy of Robert Burns in true The Ivy style.
Traditionally marked by hearty Scottish fare and shared experience, The Ivy is honouring the enduring legacy of Burns Night with a curated selection of special dishes in which classic flavours are elevated with The Ivy’s signature flare.
Starters set the tone with Campbell’s Haggis, served alongside creamed turnip and crispy potato, paying respectful homage to Burns’ iconic Address to a Haggis. For mains, guests can savour dishes such as Grilled Scottish Lobster served with a garlic and parsley butter or Scottish Sirloin, perfectly paired with a rich whisky peppercorn sauce, both accompanied by watercress and French fries. The celebrations conclude on a sweet and theatrical note with the Cranachan Bombe, a melting chocolate dome revealing vanilla ice cream, Scottish heather honey, and a hot whisky cream sauce.
To elevate the experience further, guests are invited to pair their supper with a carefully selected range of Scottish whiskies or the cocktail special, ‘Bobby Burns’, made with The Singleton 12-year-old whiskey, Dom Benedictine and chocolate bitters, available all week long at £11.95. Whether a lifelong admirer of the bard or new to the traditions of Burns Night, The Ivy offers the perfect setting to toast tradition and celebrate Scotland’s cultural heritage.
With an exciting line up of artists performing live throughout the week, including much-loved duo Cal & Ally at The Ivy Buchanan Street, The Ivy invites guests to celebrate Burns Night this January and raise a glass in honour of Scotland’s national poet.
