The Georgdie soul crew play a style of music they describe as 'Northern Funk' - a contemporary fusion of funk, soul, northern soul, hip-hop and electronica. Plus High Street Funk & Soul Celebrating the sounds of Funk and Soul with an emphasis on contemporary sounds). Think Acid Jazz, Colemine, Freestyle, Daptone, Record Kicks,Original Gravity, Jalapeno and other such labels with a sprinkling of tracks from the classic 60s/70s era of course.
