'EXPLORE!' is a showcase of works by John Hutchinson, in support of the Scottish Mountaineering Trust, which features a range of paintings and drawings – depicting memorable encounters, landscapes and characters that have shaped his life in the mountains.
John says: "Through these pictures I want to encourage you, the viewer, to go out and try something new. Take on that challenge, push at your boundaries and – by being a bit adventurous – surprise yourself, grow a bit and find new ways of coping with life."
'EXPLORE!' celebrates Scotland’s mountains and people pushing their limits – sharing moments of joy with friends and discovering a renewed sense of wellbeing in wild places.
The exhibition is being held at the Campsie Gallery, Mugdock Country Park – 10am-4pm daily, until 26 February 2026.
Entry is free, but you can support the work of the Scottish Mountaineering Trust by buying artwork and/or making a donation.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
