Annan Gallery, Glasgow is delighted to be opening the first exhibition of their 2026 programme with ‘Shorelines’ opening Sat 7th February.

Discover the Scottish shoreline through the eyes of six celebrated Scottish contemporary artists.

The works in this exhibition explore the coast as both a subject and experience. From wide horizons and shifting seas to harbours, headlands, weather-worn structures and the everyday objects shaped by coastal living.

Each artist brings their own unique and distinctive visual language and emotional response to the shoreline - some works draw directly from observation, while others are shaped by memory, atmosphere and imagination.

Featuring works by George Birrell, Euan McGregor PAI, Philip Raskin, and Ian Rawnsley, David Smith RSW and Astrid Trügg.
