A jumble sale, you say? Don’t mind if we do!
It’s January, and the burlesque, cabaret and drag crew are finally having that clear-out — you know the one. Costumes, shoes, dresses, props, crafty bits and shiny treasures hoarded for 1… 2… okay, 10 years are being lovingly released back into the wild.
On 7th March, we’re taking over Speakeasy and setting up shop to sell it all off at bargain prices. Fancy a new sparkly pair of shoes? A statement dress? Some craft supplies begging for a second life? Then get yourself along.
Entry is by donation, helping us keep our lovely sellers fuelled with coffee while they emotionally detach from their shiny wares. We do kindly ask that you buy a drink from the wonderful folks at Speakeasy, who are generously hosting us. 50% of all donation will be donated to a trans rights charity in Scotland.
Expect second-hand goods, makers’ wares, a tombola (because what’s a jumble sale without one?), and we might even throw in a performance or two… just because we can.
Please reserve your space below so we know how many to expect.
If you’d like a table, email us at admin@glasgowfestivalofburlesque.com
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
