Family Volunteering Club - Wellness Bags for Children

About Family Volunteering Club - Wellness Bags for Children

Join us at Byres Community Hub for a meaningful family volunteering session where children and adults work together to create wellness donation bags for children in need.

During the session, families will fill bags with comforting items such as warm socks, colouring activities, and a handmade card created by the children. Each child will have the chance to write a kind message, helping to spread encouragement and care to the child who receives the bag.

The bags are being donated to Refuweegie who are a Glasgow-based charity that supports people who have been displaced and are rebuilding their lives in Scotland. They help individuals and families seeking refuge feel welcomed, supported, and part of the community by providing practical help and messages of kindness.

Drinks and snacks provided.

A snack will be provided at the start of the session, making it ideal for families joining straight after school or nursery. The session is suitable for all ages and offers a relaxed, creative space to give back together.

Please read this important information before booking:

Important: Please book one space per person (so for 1 adult and 1 child, please book 2 spaces).

This session is taking place indoors and hand sanitizer will be available.

You are kindly asked not to attend if you or any of your household are displaying symptoms of coronavirus.

The activity is suitable for anyone 2+ but babies are welcome in prams / slings.

Spaces are free, though spaces are limited. Please book in advance.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This session is part of our pilot programme in Glasgow.
