Second Sunday Concert returns to St Margaret's Episcopal Church, Newlands on Sunday 8th February for an afternoon of music performed by The Cathures Quartet, who are all members of the RSNO!
About Second Sunday Concert Series: Cathures Quartet
Join us for an afternoon of good music performed by The Cathures Quartet.
The Cathures Quartet are all members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. They first played together as a quartet for a concert of the Danish String Quartet’s “Last Leaf” and “Wood Works” albums at the 2024 Nordic Music Days festival, and they had so much fun doing so that they have been playing together ever since.
They have given acclaimed performances across Scotland, including for the RSNO chamber music series. They are equally at home playing core classical quartet repertoire, lesser known 20th century and contemporary pieces and crossover works.
Cathures is the ancient name for Glasgow, the city where they are based.
All are warmly welcome.
