Fresh off of a successful Adelaide Fringe run, Adi Parmar is bringing his show Sunny Boy to the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
Sunny Boy will give your winter weary soul a shot of Vitamin D, a chaser of comedic shade, and a full-serving of heart all-in-one. If you’re hungry for laughs and food for thought? You’ll have plenty to devour with Adi Parmar’s impressive debut solo.
Balancing non-stop punchlines with dark honesty, Adi explores his childhood in North India (runway-ready baby picture included), his first queer experience (shout out to Anne Hathaway), and the culture shock of moving to the Netherlands (Dutch people will say it to your face).
Whether he’eurs roasting his own father, Narenda Modi, or a monkey who attacked him as a child, Adi hilariously lays bare the poisonous limits of toxic masculinity. His comedic thesis? Emotional repression is soooo yesterday.
