Moving Minds presents Love Letters? How Fonts Shape What We Feel, Think and Believe

About Moving Minds presents Love Letters? How Fonts Shape What We Feel, Think and Believe

A playful look at fonts, power, and perception, exploring how type choices shape culture, politics, and everyday communication

Speaker: Emlyn Firth, Art Director & Designer

An ultra-condensed, sans-bullshit talk about our enduring relationship with typography.

Why do typefaces influence our emotions? How do they convey meaning? Can certain fonts embody a sense of place? And in an age where Calibri has been castigated as “woke”, is choosing a font now a political act?

Whether you’re a design junkie or a typophobe, Emlyn will aim to improve your knowledge of all things font, and boost your confidence in using them, transforming the letters you see every day into something you truly understand.

Doors - 7:30pm - first come first served on seating
Intros - 7:50pm
Talk - 8pm
Q&A - 8:40pm
