Beatson Cancer Charity has launched Yellow Yogis, an new fundraising initiative set to bring thousands of people together for one of the largest indoor yoga events in the UK. Taking place on 13 September 2026 at Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus (SEC), the event aims to raise £250,000 in support of the Beatson Cancer Charity Wellbeing Centre.
Yellow Yogis will see participants roll out their mats side by side for a powerful, one-hour mass yoga session led by internationally recognised instructor Finlay Wilson, better known as The Kilted Yogi. Finlay has built a global following for his ability to make yoga accessible, inclusive and enjoyable. His approach blends expert instruction with humour, ensuring that complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike feel comfortable and supported throughout. Variations will be offered for all abilities, creating a welcoming space where everyone can take part and move in a way that feels right for them.
The event will be hosted by broadcaster Jenny Powell, known to audiences for programmes including Wheel of Fortune, No Limits and Daybreak. Jenny will guide the audience through the day’s programme, helping to create a vibrant and supportive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of community at the heart of the event.
Tickets are priced at £35 and include entry to the one-hour session, an exclusive Yellow Yogis yoga mat to take home, and access to additional activities that will be announced in the lead-up to the event. Participants can expect a spirited, high-energy yet mindful experience set against the backdrop of one of Scotland’s premier venues, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds for a shared purpose.
Funds raised will go directly to the Beatson Cancer Charity Wellbeing Centre, a calm and welcoming space within The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The centre offers emotional and practical support for people affected by cancer across Scotland, providing comfortable lounges away from clinical areas, supportive activities, and services designed to help patients and families relax, connect and focus on their wellbeing during treatment.
Founded by Beatson Cancer Charity Business Ambassador Mike Smith, Yellow Yogis was created with a clear vision: to unite a community at scale while making a tangible difference. Backed by sponsors including M&D Green, Allied Mobility, Arnold Clark, Mar Hall JA Resorts & Hotels, Scottish Power, SEC and Wood Family Trust, the event is set to become one of Scotland’s standout mass-participation fundraising moments of 2026.
Whether you are new to yoga or have practised for years, Yellow Yogis offers the opportunity to stretch, breathe and be part of something genuinely significant - all while helping ensure that people facing cancer across Scotland can access the vital support provided by the Beatson Wellbeing Centre.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
