Big Feed Easter Weekend at Govan Graving Docks - CANCELLED

About Big Feed Easter Weekend at Govan Graving Docks - CANCELLED

In light of the Met Office’s weather warning and forecasted high wind speeds it’s with a heavy heart we unfortunately have to cancel our near sold out Easter Weekend at Govan Graving Docks.

All ticketholders will be refunded from eventbrite.

We are absolutely gutted but as always the safety of you guys and our traders is the priority.

Glasgow’s favourite street food party is back — and it’s bringing a big Easter weekend celebration with it.

Working with the Govan Graving Docks Trust, the much-loved Big Feed Street Food Social returns on Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April 2026 for To Govan Graving Docks — transforming the historic waterfront into a colourful, feel-good festival for food lovers, families and friends.

Just a five-minute walk from Govan Subway, the dramatic dockside setting beside the River Clyde will come alive with street food, pop-up bars, independent market stalls and plenty of entertainment for little ones.

Expect a relaxed, buzzing atmosphere where you can grab amazing food, sip a cocktail in the spring sunshine, browse local makers and let the kids run around and enjoy the day.

A Feast of Street Food
Foodies can explore a delicious mix of street food favourites serving flavours from around the world, including:

Firedog / Hector & Harriet / Bundits / Fingerlicker BBQ / Base Pizza / Streat Scullery / Mam’s Thai Kitchen

From smoky BBQ and Mexican birria tacos to fresh Neapolitan-style pizza and vibrant Thai street food, there will be plenty to keep everyone happy — including picky eaters and adventurous foodies alike.

Cocktails, Sweet Treats & Local Makers
Parents and grown-ups can enjoy drinks from colourful pop-up bars including:

Pravha Container Bar / Little Margarita Truck / Aperol Spritz Tuk-Tuk

For those with a sweet tooth, dessert stalls will be serving irresistible treats from:

Three Sisters Bake / Fab Fancies / Gelatoni Ice Cream / Chulos Stuffed Cookies

A large curated makers market will also showcase brilliant independent brands including GPS Vintage, SF Brand, Melts My Heart, Pour Your Heart Out, and Temporary Malfunktion — perfect for browsing between bites.

Family Fun by the Clyde
Big Feed is known for being one of Glasgow’s most family-friendly food events, and this special reopening weekend will be packed with activities for younger visitors too.

Kids can enjoy:

Face painting / Glitter tattoos / Meet n Greet characters / A special alpaca meet-and-greet on Sunday

It’s the perfect Easter weekend day out — whether you’re bringing the kids, meeting friends, or making a day of it with the whole family.

Reviving a Historic Glasgow Landmark
After a long history at the centre of Glasgow’s maritime industry, the Govan Graving Docks closed in 1987. As the last remaining graving docks in the city, it is of great importance to Glasgow’s story and has been described by Historic Environment Scotland as “an outstanding graving dock complex without parallel in Scotland.”

The Govan Graving Docks Trust was established by members of the community in 2024. The Trust is working to bring a large part of the Docks into community ownership and to oversee sensitive redevelopment of the site as a new attraction on the Clyde. An initial phase of works completed in March 2026 has restored safe public access to the site and delivered a new recreation and events space.

In the future the Trust hopes to support further development of the site including shup repair in Dock 1, construction of a new bridge connection to Glasgow Science Centre and the provision of facilities to support recreational use of the river.

Set against the striking industrial backdrop of Govan Graving Docks, the event marks a major moment for one of Glasgow’s most historic waterfront sites.

Once central to the city’s shipbuilding industry, the docks are now being reimagined as a vibrant space for food, music and community gatherings — and Big Feed’s grand reopening celebration will be the first taste of what’s to come.
