In light of the Met Office’s weather warning and forecasted high wind speeds it’s with a heavy heart we unfortunately have to cancel our near sold out Easter Weekend at Govan Graving Docks.
All ticketholders will be refunded from eventbrite.
We are absolutely gutted but as always the safety of you guys and our traders is the priority.

Reviving a Historic Glasgow Landmark
After a long history at the centre of Glasgow’s maritime industry, the Govan Graving Docks closed in 1987. As the last remaining graving docks in the city, it is of great importance to Glasgow’s story and has been described by Historic Environment Scotland as “an outstanding graving dock complex without parallel in Scotland.”
The Govan Graving Docks Trust was established by members of the community in 2024. The Trust is working to bring a large part of the Docks into community ownership and to oversee sensitive redevelopment of the site as a new attraction on the Clyde. An initial phase of works completed in March 2026 has restored safe public access to the site and delivered a new recreation and events space.
In the future the Trust hopes to support further development of the site including shup repair in Dock 1, construction of a new bridge connection to Glasgow Science Centre and the provision of facilities to support recreational use of the river.
Set against the striking industrial backdrop of Govan Graving Docks, the event marks a major moment for one of Glasgow’s most historic waterfront sites.
Once central to the city’s shipbuilding industry, the docks are now being reimagined as a vibrant space for food, music and community gatherings — and Big Feed’s grand reopening celebration will be the first taste of what’s to come.
