For the first time in Milngavie, he will perform a rare and intimate set, offering the chance to experience one of the most respected figures in DJ culture.
With a career spanning more than three decades, DJ Jazzy Jeff is recognised worldwide for his technical excellence, musical depth, and lasting influence on modern DJ performance and music production. His achievements include a DMC World DJ Championship, an Emmy Award, multiple Grammy Awards, American Music Awards and NAACP Image Awards.
He first gained international recognition as one half of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, whose success helped bring hip-hop into the mainstream and introduced the genre to a global audience, while also launching the career of Will Smith. Widely regarded as a pioneer of turntablism, Jeff advanced scratching techniques and redefined the turntable as a true musical instrument.
Beyond performing, he founded the production company A Touch of Jazz and has collaborated with artists including Michael Jackson, Jill Scott and Darius Rucker. In 2015 he launched Playlist Retreat, an invitation-only gathering focused on creativity and collaboration.
Jeff has performed worldwide at festivals, clubs and intimate venues, documented in the Vinyl Destination series. During lockdown he connected global audiences through The Magnificent House Party livestreams.
His sets blend hip-hop, soul, funk, disco and house, balancing classic records with deeper selections. His visits to Scotland are infrequent, making this a rare opportunity to experience a globally respected DJ up close.
WE ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
This will sell out!
