We’re super excited to announce our third headliner for the Charlie’s Loft Milngavie Weekender…
Please welcome the funk monsters – HIGH FADE.
Funk/rock trio High Fade — made up of founder Harry Valentino (guitar, vocals), Oliver Sentence (bass, mustache) and drummer Heath Campbell — have grown from Scotland’s most exciting busking band into a globally recognised act. They burst onto the scene with viral hits including Burnt Toast & Coffee, Gossip, Burnin’, and a bold cover of Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon. With sold-out tours across the UK, USA and Europe, the band has now played well over 1,500 shows, quickly establishing themselves as one of the most electrifying touring acts around. Their live performances are packed with raw energy and jaw-dropping musicianship, pushing the limits of what a three-piece band can do.
With sold-out tours across the UK, USA and Europe — alongside standout appearances at major festivals including Boomtown (UK), Suwannee Hulaween (USA), and Glastonbury, where they famously performed three times in one day in 2024 — High Fade have come a long way from their street-corner beginnings in Edinburgh. Drawing influence from funk, rock, disco, jazz, metal, punk, soul and beyond, the band has developed a sound that blends these styles into a high-energy mix that feels both fresh and retro.
Fiercely independent, High Fade release their music through their own label RPN Records (“Rippin’ Records”), including their debut album Life’s Too Fast (2024), which charted in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA and Australia — an impressive achievement for a DIY band operating outside the major label system.
Their second album, Twice As Nice, due for release on RPN Records in May 2026, was recorded at two of the world’s most renowned studios: East Iris Studios in Nashville and RAK Studios in London. The highly anticipated album arrives just ahead of the band’s huge 50-date Twice As Nice tour, which will take High Fade across the USA and Canada this spring and summer.
