Emily runs YogaBellies for Pregnancy and YogaBellies Yoga for Mum and Baby classes at the Dance HQ studios, Templeton on the Green.
YogaBellies for Pregnancy
YogaBellies for Pregnancy classes are available in the beautiful Dance HQ studios overlooking Glasgow Green.
YogaBellies for Pregnancy covers a range of themes important for all mums to help them enjoy pregnancy and prepare for birth. The classes include yoga postures suitable for pregnancy and birth, adjusted for each trimester, as well as invaluable breathing techniques for pregnancy and labour combined with relaxation and meditation techniques that mum can also use once the baby arrives.
Founder of YogaBellies Cheryl MacDonald says: "YogaBellies for pregnancy is all about bringing mums together and preparing them mentally and physically for the most amazing day of their lives, at the end of each class we all have an informal chat and it is nice to see how everyone is progressing with each stage of their pregnancy."
YogaBellies pre natal yoga classes are gentle and safe for all women, whether new to Yoga or with years of practice. Each class lasts 1hr 15 minutes and runs for eight weeks, focusing on a different aspect of pregnancy and birth each week. This is more than just a yoga class, but also training in deep relaxation and preparation for birth and motherhood.

YogaBellies Yoga for Mum and Baby
Yogabellies Mum and Baby Yoga runs on Mondays at 11am at Dance HQ Glasgow, G40 1DA (next to WEST Brewery and Glasgow Green).
These classes will help you get back into shape once baby arrives. They are suitable whether or not you have any yoga experience and are a perfect way to include baby in your workout .
Yoga is one of the best gentle and effective exercises to perform post natally, to safely restore tummy muscles, and balance your body and mind. There are postures for baby and for yourself and many involve both mum and baby at the same time! We also include breathing techniques to help restore much needed energy, and relaxation to soothe both mother and baby. Baby yoga helps with their development and awareness as well as aiding their digestion and helping to stimulate and calm them.
Babies can be actively involved, watching or sleeping and of course if you need to take a break to feed that's fine too.
When booking you will receive a Yogabellies Mum and Baby tote bag and e-pack.
We also make time for a cup of tea and chat so you have a chance to get to know other mums locally.
The classes are taught by a qualified perinatal yoga teacher. Mats are provided.
You can usually start classes from around 6 weeks post partum, or 8 weeks if you have had a caesarean section, until baby is mobile.
There is plenty of parking available, lift access, and a play-park nearby if someone needs to entertain an older sibling / toddler while you come to class.
