Glasgow, 25 June 2025 – This Sunday sees the arrival of a brand-new community event for 2025: The Big Sunday on Kelvin Way! This vibrant street festival, the closing event of this years’ WestFest, takes place this Sunday, 29th June, from 11am to 4pm, transforming one of Glasgow’s most iconic avenues into a bustling hub of music, colour, and creativity.
A key event as part of Glasgow850 and proudly supported by Cala Jordanhill Park, Glasgow City Council, and National Lottery Communities Fund; Big Sunday promises a day packed with entertainment, fun, and community spirit—absolutely free and open to all!
“As a team, we’ve had to approach our community events programme with fresh eyes this year, especially in light of significant local authority funding cuts,” said Festival Director Brendon McIlroy. “The Big Sunday was born from our desire to bring one of Glasgow’s most iconic and beautiful streets to life for a free, family festival that everyone can enjoy. With everything going on in the country, creating spaces where people can come together, celebrate, and support each other has never felt more important. We can’t wait to see Kelvin Way buzzing with music, laughter, and community spirit this Sunday!”
