Meet & Greets with Santa
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is bringing festive magic to Silverburn with daily Santa meet and greets outside Next until Wednesday 24 December. Little ones can share their wish lists with Santa from 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5pm (closing at 2pm on Christmas Eve), with a suggested £3 donation to support the hospital.
Quiet sessions for children with autism or sensory needs will run every Sunday during the centre’s quiet hour, check Silverburn’s website for specific times throughout December. No pre-booking is required, although queues may form at busy times.
Choirs
To spread festive cheer Silverburn has an extensive line-up of choirs to add a touch of magic to the shopping experience. Throughout December, a wonderful mix of community choirs will fill Silverburn with joyful Christmas carols to keep those festive feelings flowing. Choir performances by local schoolchildren, charities and community groups will take place almost every day in the lead-up to Christmas, bringing festive cheer to guests.

If you’re looking for a calming Christmas soundtrack while you shop, Silverburn has you covered. Whether you are after something upbeat or more relaxed, a delightful range of musicians will be performing throughout December, creating a festive symphony to accompany all your seasonal activities.

Gift Wrapping
After picking up that perfect present or finding that last-minute gift, skip the stress of wrapping as Silverburn has a team of cheerful elf helpers at the ready to gift-wrap your presents to perfection! For a small donation, gifts will be wrapped by members of the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, with all proceeds supporting the charity this festive season. The Gift Wrapping will be available from 17 December until 23 December from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 8pm. On 24 December the gift wrapping will run from 9am to 4pm, giving Santa’s helpers plenty of time to get ready for the big day!
Festive Opening Hours
For the festive season, Silverburn will extend its opening hours to welcome early-bird shoppers as well as those who prefer to browse at a more leisurely pace in the evening. During the festive period from 1 December to 23 December, opening hours will be extended on select days leading up to Christmas, with reduced hours over the Christmas period and into the New Year.
