The award-winning restaurant marked its third anniversary earlier this year and continues to build its reputation as one of Scotland’s best neighbourhood dining spots.
The festive menu highlights the kind of generous, naturally vibrant and flavour-led dishes Rickshaw & Co is known and celebrated for. It features Kolkata Fish Cutlet, made with silky fillets of panga, salmon and crab meat mixed with house spices, crumb-coated and fried until crisp, served with a sweet chilli dip.
Burrata Papdi Chaat is a Glasgow exclusive and brings together creamy Italian burrata with the tangy, crunchy elements of Indian street food chaat, topped with sev, crushed papdi and pomegranate. Nawabi Chicken Curry is a rich, creamy and aromatic dish from Mughlal cuisine, cooked with onion, ginger, garlic, poppy seeds and cashew nuts and pairs well with naan or chapati.
Dadima’s Lamb Curry is a traditional homestyle lamb curry cooked on the bone. The meat is slow cooked for 24 hours with a mix of Indian spices, then garnished with fresh ginger and green chillies. Dhabba-style Sabji Pie offers a rich, savoury baked pie filled with seasonal vegetables cooked in the Dhabba style, wrapped in a flaky butter crust. Makhanwala Butter Turkey Pie is a luxurious turkey pie made with cream, tomatoes, butter and Indian spices. It’s baked until golden and is a standout option for anyone who loves butter chicken dishes. It’s a one-of-a-kind festive choice and a must-try.
Desserts include Sticky Toffee Pudding, made with sticky dates and vanilla, served warm in a toffee sauce with vanilla ice cream. Bengal Brûlée Rice Pudding is a classic Bengali household dessert made with Scottish milk, assorted nuts and raisins. It’s topped with caramelised sugar for crunch and balanced sweetness.
Mains start from £6.50 and desserts from £5.95, making Rickshaw & Co an appealing choice for flavoursome, colourful relaxed December dining. The new festive menu combines the restaurant’s signature creativity with dishes that feel hearty and inviting for the season.
“Our festive menu is all about flavour, comfort and generosity. December is a busy time for people, and we want them to sit down, relax and enjoy dishes that feel warm and satisfying. This menu brings together everything we love about cooking at Rickshaw & Co,” said Co-founder Gulshan Soni.
