On 13 December, 150 rubber ducks will be released across Glasgow to celebrate the return of Scotland’s favourite festive family day out – The IRN-BRU Carnival opening on 19 December 2025. Carnival fans have the chance to get their hands on a free pair of tickets to this year’s Carnival if they’re first to find one of the ducks hidden across the city and beyond.
With a number of ducks hidden across Glasgow venues and landmarks, the Duck Hunt will kick off on Saturday 13th December as each duck can only be claimed once. Five ‘phenomenal’ orange ducks will also be hidden where lucky finders will receive a money can’t buy ‘phenomenal’ ticket to the Carnival providing access to every day of the event for up to four people worth over £2,000.

Once the ducks are claimed, finders will need to use the code around the duck’s neck to book their tickets online for the IRN-BRU Carnival.

The IRN-BRU Carnival is Europe’s largest indoor funfair and has been enjoyed by generations for over 100 years. Opening on 19 December 2025 and running until 11 January 2026 (closed Christmas Day) at Glasgow’s SEC, the Carnival offers more than 75 exhilarating rides, games, and family-friendly attractions - its biggest edition yet.
