West End Restaurant Week to debut on Byres Road
Glasgow food fans are in for a treat as Visit West End Restaurant Week makes its debut in March bringing cut-price set menus to some of the most popular spots across Byres Road and The Lanes.

Running from Monday, 2nd March until Sunday, 8th March, the week-long celebration will see 20 restaurants, bars and cafés serve up special menus priced at just £10, £15, £20 or £25 per person.
It’s the perfect excuse to finally try that new restaurant you’ve had your eye on — or catch up with friends at a favourite, without stretching the budget.
Among the venues taking part are Crabshakk, Kimchi Cult, Chaakoo Bombay Cafe, Brel and Zambrero, representing everything from modern Scottish seafood to Korean, Indian and Mexican cuisine.
Organisers say the event is designed to give a meaningful boost to the local hospitality sector while driving footfall and encouraging visitors to explore the vibrant West End food scene.
John Turner, Chair at Byres Road & Lanes Business Improvement District, said: “We are very excited to be bringing the Restaurant Week concept to Byres Road and The Lanes for the first time. It has been run successfully in cities such as Aberdeen and Newcastle and we hope to replicate that success here, and that it will become a regular fixture in Glasgow’s foodie scene.
From chef-led kitchens to local favourites, we invite people to discover new flavours while supporting the businesses at the heart of Glasgow’s West End!”
A spokesperson for Crabshakk said: “We’re very pleased to be taking part in Restaurant Week - We’ve put together a great-value set lunch menu, that we hope encourages folk that haven’t visited us before to come and try us for the first time - or to treat themselves to a special meal that may have usually been out their budget.”
Dan Hawley, owner of Zambrero added: “Being part of Restaurant Week is a fantastic opportunity for us to join the other great restaurants in the area and showcase what we do, while celebrating the energy and vibrancy of our new community. Alongside our food we have an initiative called Plate 4 Plate where every time a burrito or bowl is purchased, we donate a meal to someone in need, so now our new locals have a chance to grab a burrito and do their bit to help us on our mission to end world hunger.”
More restaurants are still to be revealed, and diners are being encouraged to book early as strong interest is expected.
