Glasgow Fort to host fundraiser in support of local baby loss charity this Mothers Day

While Mother's Day is a special occasion for many, it can also be a time of reflection for families who have experienced baby loss.

In support of this, Glasgow Fort is partnering with Scottish baby loss charity, Simba, for the second year running to raise vital funds for the organisation and the families it supports across the country.

On Saturday 14th March, from 11am until 3pm, shoppers will have the opportunity to donate £3 to Simba in exchange for a beautiful posy of tulips, with all funds raised going to the charity.

Phil Goodman, centre director at Glasgow Fort, said: “Mother’s Day means something different to everyone. While it’s a time of celebration for many, we recognise it can also be incredibly challenging for families who have experienced baby loss. We’re proud to once again partner with Simba to support the vital work they do in our community and encourage our visitors to take part in this special fundraiser where they can.”

Simba Charity works to ensure every family in Scotland receives the support they need following baby loss. The organisation helps bereaved families honour and remember their baby whenever the time is right, primarily through the provision of Memory Boxes. Simba also supports hospitals with peaceful bereavement rooms and creates memorial ‘Trees of Tranquillity’ across the country.

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from Glasgow Fort. Their backing not only helps to raise awareness of the services we provide but also ensures we can continue supporting families across Scotland.”
