Stars from across football, TV, music and more will join the double act including: Clare Grogan, Dougray Scott, Gordon Strachan, Greg Hemphill, Nathan Evans and more.

Reviving their hit 90s show for one night only after a 27 year hiatus, McCoist and MacAulay Live will see the footballer and comedian welcome guests to the SEC Armadillo as Scotland prepares to return to the World Cup for the first time in 28 years. Hosted by Ally and Fred, the night will be a celebration of Scotland’s cultural landscape, taking place less than a month before Scotland’s first World Cup game in America.

The full line-up includes: Scottish singer and actress Clare Grogan, film and TV actor Dougray Scott, writer, actor and co-creator of Still Game Greg Hemphill, Head Coach of the Scotland rugby team Gregor Townsend, former Scotland player and manager Gordon Strachan, actor John Gordon Sinclair and a live music performance from Nathan Evans.

The special guests will join Ally and Fred onstage for chats, laughs, World Cup stories and predictions, as the star-studded line-up preview’s Scotland’s return to the world’s biggest footballing stage. The two and a half hour live show will feature light-hearted chats and performances as guests discuss their love of the beautiful game, expectations for the Scotland team and look back on their career highlights.

Clare Grogan said: “Thrilled to be part of this big night out with Ally and Fred. I suspect there will be laughter, songs and maybe tears. Come on Scotland, we’re here for it!”

Gordon Strachan, who won 50 caps for Scotland and played in two World Cups, Spain ‘82 and Mexico ‘86, added, “Can’t miss this!”

John Gordon Sinclair said: “Very much looking forward to catching up with the boys on stage: Fred & I go back a long way - appearing on his Radio show, golfing together (once) - & although it was only a brief affair the flame still burns bright. I’ve never actually met Ally, but with his exemplary career in Scottish football & me being voted 46th best goal keeper of all time (Troo!), both born in 62, both having aged spectacularly well, I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk about. My knowledge of the game will be there for all to see on the night & I fully expect to be asked to leave the building.”

Taking place less than a month before Scotland’s first World Cup game, ‘McCoist and MacAulay Live’ on Friday 15th May will see the duo host an evening of entertainment and live music, capturing the nationwide euphoria ahead of the big games. The night will kick off celebrations at the SEC campus as the first World Cup preview event.

Ally McCoist and Fred MacAulay said: “We’re delighted to announce our line-up of special guests for our big reunion with some of our pals from across sport, music, film and TV joining us. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic night celebrating Scottish culture as we look ahead to the big games - we’ll be taking a trip down memory lane with the likes of Gordon Strachan, Clare Grogan and Dougray Scott looking back on our memories of Scotland’s last World Cup campaign. Plus, music from our pal Nathan Evans and chatting about expectations for this year with Greg Hemphill, John Gordon Sinclair and Gregor Townsend. We can’t wait - see you there!”

Taking place 28 years after their World Cup 1998 preview special show in Paris, this year’s event will see a roster of special guests come together to celebrate Scotland’s 2026 World Cup campaign. Broadcasting from the Eiffel Tower back in 1998, their show featured A-listers Ewan McGregor and Ulrika Jonsson, as well as footballer Jimmy Hill and actor Richard Wilson.

Running from 1997 to 1999, ‘McCoist & MacAulay’ was a travelling chat show for the BBC, welcoming celebrity guests in venues around the UK including Kylie Minogue, Kenny Dalglish, Peter Kay, Tom Jones and more.

A moment of huge national significance as the country readies itself to back Steve Clarke’s team, and some of the Tartan Army head to the USA itself, ‘McCoist and MacAulay Live’ will be the perfect warm-up to this summer of football.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
