The group is a supportive space for new and emerging performers and performance artists to continue developing their skills and confidence.
Participants will collaborate with one another and two practicing theatre makers to develop a rich experience in all aspects of devised theatre. You will have the opportunity to explore your own ideas on a weekly basis, where the focus will be on developing your skill set in a supportive, creative and fun working environment.
You will learn new ways of working with text, image and movement and work towards public performances. You will gain confidence in working with your own interests and ideas and learn new approaches to collaborating with others.
Whilst the form and content of each performance will change, we promise to commission currently practicing writers, makers, directors and performers to work alongside the group. These commissions are offered to artists interested in collaborating with Thursday Night Drama members to create high-quality productions.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
