Designed by W B Whitie, The Classic Grand opened its doors in 1915 as The Grand Central Picture House.
A cinema hall for almost 80 years it was sympathetically transformed to a nightclub and live music venue in 1992.
The Classic Grand hosts two floors. The top main floor retains much of its original and “stunning” art deco features, which is often likened to banquet room from The Titanic.
With a large stage, dance floor, two bars and capacity for 500 guests, the main hall is perfect for large events including music concerts, club nights, corporate networking to weddings and other special occasions.
The main hall is installed with a state of the art PA system.
The Classic Grand is also home to a smaller first floor lounge and dancefloor, with capacity for 200 guests. Its dark interior, low ceilings and good sized stage with bar make it the perfect forum for a range of events such as club nights, after-show parties, record label launch events, corporate networking or private functions.
