Connect Choir has a great reputation as one of the friendliest contemporary groups to be a part of and boasts a talented mix of amateur and semi-professional performers - one voice together, hence our name 'Connect'.
Sessions with us are energetic, uplifting, sociable and musically challenging - guaranteed to lift your spirits to the sky!
Connect perform bespoke vocal arrangements of popular hits across many decades, encompassing a fusion of vocal styles and genres. Songs by artists such as Haim, Toto, Pink, David Bowie, Chaka Khan, Queen, Prince and many more. We welcome anyone with performing experience although it isn't necessary to take part. More importantly we welcome those who can contribute to and help others benefit from the positive and supportive environment we like to nurture within our Connect community. You do not need to read music to take part but a good ear for harmony is helpful and so too is a willingness to rise to a challenge, let loose and have a ball.
Recent notable Connect performances include Derren Brown's record breaking theatre hit "Showman" at the Kings Theatre Glasgow, the world famous Carnegie Hall, New York under the Musical Direction of award winning composer and arranger Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect 1&2, Disney, Pitch Battle BBC1)
Connect Choir TV appearances include BBC Alba Documentary 'Scotland in Eurovision Choir 2019'
The Big NHS Singalong, ITV.
NYOS works with young musicians aged 8-25 living or studying in Scotland or with Scottish connections.
