Taking guests on a world voyage to Argentina’s most famous wine region, Mendoza, expect a taste of a stunning terroir with unparalleled natural beauty at this one-off five-course foodie experience.
This exclusive event in partnership with Bodega Argento - the largest organic wine producer in Mendoza, Argentina, marks their sixth Uncorked wine series set in the luxurious and comfortable 158 Club Lounge. Hosted by UK Ambassador Pippa Townley from Bodega Argento of Blends Wine Estates, this evening is a celebration of bold and emblematic wines from Bodega Argento with a mouth-watering Scottish menu to match.
Guests to the event will savour a specially created five-course tasting menu by their head chef Jean-Paul Giraud, with matched Argentinian wines created from a land of contrasts and extreme altitudes. This region is renowned for having sun-kissed vineyards to snow-capped Andes mountains as a backdrop.
On offer are some remarkable wines that embody the essence of modern Argentina and showcase the hallmarks of the Argento style - fruit purity, vibrancy and elegance.
Featured wines include the extraordinary Argento Reserva Organic Malbec - with black fruits, violet flowers and a velvety finish. A ruby red, rich and spicy Reserve Cabernet Franc and Bodega Argento’s beautifully balanced, sophisticated and aromatic Malbec Rose.
Speaking of the event Co-Founder of Rusk & Rusk, James Rusk said: “The winemaking team at Bodega Argento are true masters of their art, captivating the vibrancy of Buenos Aires and the renowned wine region of Mendoza. Their wines are not only celebrated the world over but they are organic, elegant and incredibly created on their winery at the foot of the Andes mountain range.
“We can’t wait to welcome them to Hutchesons and let our guests try more of Argento’s award-winning portfolio.”
Located on Ingram St, Hutchesons is a three floor sophisticated dining destination that is synonymous with the Rusk & Rusk portfolio.
Uncorked Series N0.6 - “Discover Argentina, a land of contrasts and extreme altitudes” is on sale now. Their five-course wine tasting dinner in the 158 Club Lounge at Hutchesons City Grill is £50pp and starts at 7 pm on Wednesday 25th September.
