Wrestlers set for Steel Cage Showdown in Glasgow this Sunday

Wrestling opponents will be locked inside a steel cage this weekend as Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) brings its ICW Barred event to The Garage Nightclub on Sunday 24 April!

The event marks ICW's return to The Garage - its normal venue before the pandemic - for the first time in over two years. It will feature seven matches, all of which will take place inside the steel cage structure and are no holds barred.

Former WWE Superstar Big Damo, BBC star Jack Jester, and MMA fighter Chris Bungard all have scores to settle inside the cage.

Scottish TV legend Gavin Mitchell, best known for playing "Boaby the Barman" in sitcom Still Game, helped announce the event on social media.

The 2-minute video shows a chaotic pub scene, as a slew of professional wrestlers brawl through the venue, avoiding flying pints along the way.

The camera cuts to the bar as the barman turns round to reveal himself as Mitchell, who delivers his iconic line, “You’re barred!”.

Limited tickets for ICW Barred are available at ticketmaster.co.uk. Fans can also watch ICW on-demand on WWE Network in the UK, and Peacock in the USA.
