The sun set over TRNSMT Festival for the final time this weekend, as fans enjoyed another action packed day of incredible live music.

Friday and Saturday were tough acts to follow, but Sunday took on the challenge to offer up another monumental day across each of TRNSMT’s four stages, from some of the UK’s best artists.

Highlights included Bob Vylan, who rocked the King Tut’s stage in a kilt to honour the Scottish crowd, Jamie Webster who gave a fantastic rendition of Praise You by Fatboy Slim on the Main Stage, and Nothing But Thieves, who had the crowd chanting after declaring their love for Scotland.

Opening Sunday’s lineup was Calum Bowie over on the King Tut’s stage before Lucia & The Best Boys gave revellers a sneak preview of some new tracks from their album, set for release later this year. Dream Wife, Bob Vylan, The Amazons and Nothing But Thieves also took centre stage for an afternoon packed with tunes and good vibes.

On the River stage, which is dedicated to up-and-coming artists, alt-pop singer songwriter Cathy Jain opened, before Neive Ella, Tommy Lefroy, Andrew Cushin and Uninvited played to festival goers under the Glasgow sun. Skylights and Only The Poets were the final performers of the weekend on the King Tut's stage, closing the stage for TRNSMT 2023.

The Main Stage opened with Liverpuldian rock band Crawlers, followed by Pale Waves, Jamie Webster and US performer Ashnikko. The Kooks, who are no stranger to TRNSMT, took to the stage with their naughties tracks Naive, Ooh La and She Moves In Her Own Way, before pop princess Becky Hill got the crowd’s hands in the air as she played an epic high-energy set.

Royal Blood gave crowds a bass-and-drum delight with Out of The Black, Come On Over and Figure It Out before making way for headliners The 1975, where Matty Healy powered through a captivating rendition of the band’s most-loved hits, including I’m In Love With You, Too Shy and Somebody Else, as the sun set over Glasgow.

Geoff Ellis, Festival Director at TRNSMT said: "What a way to round off an absolutely electrifying weekend. Every single act completely smashed it today - from Lovejoy and Bob Vylan on King Tut’s Stage, to an amazing show from Becky Hill on the Main Stage. The 1975 showed why they are one of the biggest bands in the world right now to bring the lights down on the main stage but there was so much right across the festival we were absolutely spoilt for choice. I'd like to thank everyone who came along throughout the weekend for continually being the best audience we could ever have hoped for and we can't wait to welcome you back to Glasgow Green very soon."

With outstanding performances across the whole weekend and memories to last a lifetime, the curtain has been drawn for TRNSMT 2023.
