Following a 10-day refurbishment, Whisky Joe’s Bar will open its doors to the public and showcase everything that the group is known and loved for, cocktails, live entertainment, good music, and great service, all set in a unique style.
In terms of design - the group's past, present, and new location will be the inspiration as pieces of furniture and prints from their past have been carefully selected alongside some exciting new pieces.
Audrey O’brien, the owner said: ‘Our new spot might be small, in terms of capacity, but to us, that’s a bonus as it allows us to create a space that will have a real home-from-home feel to it.
We want this place to be fun, ecletic, with a nod to tradition, a place where young and old can happily exist in a comfortable environment.’
An exciting menu of cocktails has been curated as a nod to the young and the old, the classics with a couple of modern twists, like their ‘Raspberry Limon Spitzer’. There are also draught beers, wines, soft drinks, and a top gantry, which will have some exciting new additions, adding to the already extensive whisky list.
Weekly events will be on the menu too, with a Thursday night quiz from 8 PM, while DJs, karaoke, and local live talent will take to the stage at the weekends.
If that’s not enough every second Thursday they will host their ‘Bus Pass Party’ Be prepared for an afternoon of nostalgia, hilarity, and dancing as you are transported back to your youth!
Audrey added: ‘We want people to be able to come along in the afternoon and enjoy a drink or two with friends or come at night when things will be livelier, have a laugh, maybe have a wee sing song and a dance. The Choice
is theirs!’
Whisky Joe’s Bar will open to the public on Thursday 31st August and will be open seven days from 12 pm until late.
Situated at 7B New Street, the bar is within walking distance of Paisley University, the abbey, the museum & art gallery, and two train stations, Gilmour Street and Canal Street.
