Glasgow headquartered major event producer and deals company itison has unveiled its new event and creative space – the itison HUB - just off George Square, Glasgow following a £750,000 refurbishment.
itison HUB comes complete with a 30m indoor running track, a giant video wall, a full service bar, FITISON (the in-house gym), gorgeous lounge area, quiet spaces and games zone. The space has a full lighting and sound rig able to transform the space from a screening room into a nightclub.
The HUB was conceived by Oli Norman, CEO of itison and designed by award-winning interior design company Surface-ID with lighting design from Grant Anderson, best known for his work in theatre and major outdoor events.
itison’s flagship HQ located on the floor above was named Scotland’s office of the year in 2018 following a multi-million pound refurbishment and features a fully stocked bar, Pilates studio, giant hot air balloon and the infamous fireman’s pole. The addition of itison HUB promises to take the space to the next level.
itison announced plans for the new venue earlier this Spring following news that Soho House had pulled its plans to open in Glasgow aiming to bring the creative, hospitality and business community together – without pricey membership fees.
Oli Norman, CEO of itison said: “We’ve long wanted a space we can bring together the different businesses and local communities itison works with; itison HUB is a spectacular space that we can do just that in.
“We’ll be hosting a series of free networking and social events in the coming months and can’t wait to show off the space.”
itison House is already home to:
• A fireman’s pole from the mezzanine direct into the bar
• A pink phone box for private calls, a giant fairy lit oak tree that twinkles each time a new member joins itison and a giant hot air balloon… just for fun
• A yoga studio and a reading room on the mezzanine level for relaxation
• A fully stocked (complimentary) bar including a beer fridge and a gantry full of premium spirits
• A spacious café area to encourage people to get away from their desks at lunch time with complimentary soft drinks, a cereal bar and a never ending fruit bowl
• Seven spaces for meetings including The Cube – a large pink glass cube in the centre of the office, a fully soundproofed boardroom and a diner overlooking the full office
• A giant dome ceiling that changes colour depending on the day's performance
• State of the art AV throughout including acoustic panelling to minimise noise/beautiful feature lighting throughout and core controls managed by phone including lighting/heating/ventilation and biometrics
