Specialising in rare, limited edition, and hard-to-find sports items, Restock3d sells jackets, t-shirts, matching sets, and footwear from popular brands such as Nike, Under Armour, Montirex, and Griid.
Founded in 2020 during lockdown by then -16-year-old Glaswegian Finlay Gordon (now 21 years old), Restock3d began as a small business operating from the teenager’s bedroom, where he sold rare trainers via social media, quickly building a loyal customer base.
In 2023, Finlay left University of Glasgow, where he had been studying Accounting and Finance, to dedicate himself full-time to growing the brand. Leveraging the power of social media, Finlay took to the streets of Glasgow to film promotional videos, interviewing the public about his on-trend outfits. He also showcased Restock3d at festivals, raves, and football matches across the world including London, Dublin and Ibiza, attracting attention of the contemporary sportswear fans of all ages.
Through the brand’s TikTok and Instagram pages, Finlay successfully grew Restock3d from a bedroom business to a thriving online store. Now, he’s taken the next step with the brand’s first brick-and-mortar store at Buchanan Galleries.
Finlay Gordon, founder of Restock3d, said: “I had a keen eye for fashion and sportswear from a very young age, and saw early on how social media could take my business to new heights.
“I noticed that there’s ever-increasing demand amongst my friends and people my age for limited-edition and hard-to-find sportswear that looks good worn as part of an everyday lifestyle. Social media has allowed me to reach a community that values exclusivity and style, and I’ve been able to connect with people who appreciate what we offer.
“From starting my business selling just one pair of trainers from my bedroom four years ago, I'm so excited to be finally achieving my goal of opening my first permanent store in my hometown. I’m looking forward to bring the same energy and connection as I have on social, into the store, and meeting and interacting with customers face-to-face.”
Kathy Murdoch, Centre Director at Buchanan Galleries, added: “Glasgow is known for being a vibrant city, and we like to think we reflect that vibrancy back to our guests with our line-up of exciting retailers and brands, from local start-ups to global names.
“Supporting Glaswegian businesses and fostering their success is at the heart of what we do, and we’re thrilled to welcome Restock3d to Buchanan Galleries which will bring something unique and fresh to the centre.
“Finlay’s story and the brand’s energy, perfectly embody Glasgow’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit, and we’re confident it will resonate with our visitors who are always looking for standout shopping experiences and unique finds.”
The Restock3d store – which will also feature an exclusive range of merchandise from Glasgow-based event promotions brand PRTY – is now open in Buchanan Galleries.
