Drag 101

About Drag 101

Guess who's back in the house! Just in time for spooky season!

That's right it's the return of Drag 101 at The Gilchrist Postgraduate Club, Glasgow University on Tuesday 7th October 2025, starting at 7pm and full of draggy fun with our frightening house queens, the terrifying Dharma Geddon, the horrifying Alana Duvey plus a selection of their spooktacular drag chums.

Featuring more drag shenanigans than you can shake a broomstick at, for example but not limited to, lip sync performances (a drag staple), live singing, comedy, drama, burlesque, cabaret, games and sometimes the downright unexpected and weird, and not forgetting a wee fun chat or two with all of Dharma and Alana's dated/niche references. All while continuing to break gender norms, experiment with gender and self expression through performance.

What better way to kick off the changing of the seasons and Postgraduate Welcome Week than by coming to Drag 101! So be sure select the 'Going' button on our Facebook Event page and keep your eyes of newt peeled there for the amazing guest performer announcement poster coming soon.

As always, Drag 101 is open to all, no matter your age, race, background, gender, sexuality, monster, identity, pronouns, neurotype, ghost, abilities, body type, shape, dead or alive, size, hair colour, eye colour etc. you get the idea! You don't even need to be a student or a postgraduate at the university to come and enjoy a scare at the show.

We operate a welcoming, accessible, safe and relaxed space for all, like all good haunted houses. The overall vibe of the show is nice and chilled, seated cafe vibes. PLUS you can purchase drinks at the bar and even a cheeky snack or two.
So whether you're a Rupaul's Drag Race, Boulet Brothers' Dragula, Queen of the Universe or even a Camp Wannakiki super fan; a local drag connoisseur or you've never heard of or seen a drag performer in your life, you will be welcomed with open arms and shown all the love here at Drag 101. Our only aim is that you'll leave having been thoroughly entertained.

What more could you want? Free entry? Well, we got that too! This is a completely free show to watch. Just turn up, no tickets required.

Advised to arrive early to guarantee a good seat! Please bear in mind that sometimes our shows can get pretty busy. Particularly the Welcome Week shows.
Although the show is free, a voluntary tip is always appreciated but this is not mandatory. Should you wish to tip, you can do so by sending your tip online before, during or after the show via PayPal at paypal.me/thedharmageddon. You can tip at the show, in person by putting cash in the tip bucket or by card with our fabby new card machine. Just see Dharma for card/contactless or Alana for cash at the end of the show.

Please only tip if you want to and have the funds to do so. We understand times are tough and not everyone can afford to. We will never force money from you. All we ask is you enjoy yourselves. However, if you do tip we can assure you that all tips will be split equally among all performers and stage hand.
