Join the countryside ranger for a twilight walk to track down the bats around Dams To Darnley Country Park, and find out all about these nocturnal creatures!
About International Bat Night
Atomic batteries to power - detectors to the ready...it's International Bat Night again! Robin should be safely in bed but the Batman theme continues for 2024 with the return of the hugely popular bat walk through the Country Park, joining bat enthusiast around the world on this day.
Join the Countryside Ranger and volunteers from Clyde Bat Group along to share their knowledge and expertise on all things batty. Last year we had a treat of Pipistrelle watching followed by a show from the UK's only water bat, the Daubenton's bat. We don't have to go far to see the bats so the walk is suited to all abilities.

8 - 10pm
Meet at the Darnley Mill entrance (Corselet Road, off Nitshill Road, Darnley G53 7RN)
Booking essential
Family friendly
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Dress for the weather
Good walking boots/shoes or wellies essential
Well behaved dogs are welcome (ideally on the lead)
Bring a torch
