Welcome to Glasgow Lindyhoppers - the place to learn the iconic dance of the 1930s and 1940s - lindyhop AKA swing.
This energetic and stylish African American dance began in the 1920's in Harlem, New York and really took off in the 30's and 40's. After a decline in popularity, it was rediscovered in the 1980s, and has built a huge following since, with current estimates of 100,000 swing fans around the globe!
Join us this Monday to learn this fun and exciting dance!
We are returning to our original format of 2 levels of lindyhop classes as follows:
7-8pm Beginners class. The first 15 minutes will be a footwork practice session, with the remainder of the class focused on that week's moves.
