Touring with her latest album, 'I Know I'm Funny haha', singer-songwriter Faye Webster is bringing her conjunction of country stoicism and alternative indie live to Maryhill Community Central Halls later this year. Known for her deadpan outlook on life, Faye introduces her hurt to audiences in one of the more bizarre ways of the songwriter, the lyrics which when written sound so full and emotional, roll off as meaningless, not quite pain-free nor painful - just present.
With almost 2 million listeners, Webster's music means a lot to many people, and even ended up on Barack Obama's end of year playlist - though you may find her more concerned about Pokemon cards than which bigwig is spinning her tunes.
One of the more unique songwriter's out there, Faye Webster's show is one of sharing emotion, acknowledging its presence, and simply choosing to move.
