After a two-year hiatus One Big Picnic is returning to George Square, giving everyone in Glasgow the chance to try delicious food served by people of diverse faith and beliefs who run food projects all year round – for free!

These groups continued their service for the vulnerable throughout the pandemic, serving tasty food with dignity to those who need it. They believe everyone has the right to enjoy good food and feel part of one big community.

One Big Picnic is a free family-friendly day out celebrating the diversity of the people of Glasgow. Stalls will be serving sweet and savoury food at no cost, creating an open-air community meal. Sharing quality food, conversation and fun is the order of the day! In addition, there will also be music, dance and martial arts performances, with fun for all the family such as henna painting and the ever-popular opportunity to try on a turban or hijab!

Join us in George Square on Sunday the 4th of September 2022 from 12:30 – 3pm and celebrate the glorious diversity of our city. Food will be limited (and delicious), so come early to avoid disappointment!
