Jordanhill Parish Church Concert Series is delighted to present a concert for piano four hands on Friday 18th November, 6.30 pm, performed by Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduates Edyta Mydlowska and Mianoora Kosonen.
Originally from Poland, Edyta Mydlowska graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland receiving a First Class Bachelor with Honours degree and a Master of Music in Piano Performance degree. Edyta is a laureate and winner of many international competitions including Bela Bartok Competition in Vienna, Young Talents Competition in Kaliningrad, Piano talents in Milan, Young Piano Talents in Enschede, Charleston International online Competition, Lamond Prize in Glasgow, RCS Concerto Competition and ‘Per Aspera ad Astra’ in Poland. She has participated in festivals and concerts in Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Poland and UK. In 2019 she had an honour to perform for HRH Prince Charles during his visit at RCS. Edyta has recently completed a solo album of S. Bortkiewicz’s Lamentations et Consolations, Op. 17 and a chamber music album with cellist Sarah Nail including music of Sibelius, Piazzolla, Tsintsadze and Williams. Edyta is a member and co-founder of Soteria Ensemble.
Mianoora Kosonen is a classical pianist and accompanist from southern Finland. Mianoora currently works as a freelance accompanist, piano teacher and music educator in Glasgow. Mianoora is a founding member of the Oscen Ensemble and the Women In Chamber Music Collective, and a part of the Kosonen-Ranieri Duo. Mianoora has performed with singers and instrumentalists on many occasions at RCS festivals (piano festival, PLUG), accompanying performances and masterclasses, competitions, and concerts. She now frequently performs around Glasgow and Scotland as a freelance pianist, accompanist and keyboard player, recent performances including the St Andrew's fair, Wellington Church and Fringe Festivals.

Schubert - Piano Fantaisie for 4 Hands Op. 103 D. 940
Mendelssohn - Andante and Allegro assai vivace Op. 92
Gershwin - Cuban Overture arr. for piano 4 hands
Admission will be by donation towards the church organ fund. After the concert, there will be a chance to speak to the artists over tea and coffee. All are welcome!
