Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars is a fortnightly stand up comedy gig in Blackfriars' historic basement venue, Club 45, on Monday 22nd May, they welcome Liam Farrelly for a headline set!

It’s another dose of Blackfriars’ fortnightly new material night, where you can catch new material from some of Scotland’s best comics, plus the freshest new acts on the scene.
This week’s headliner is Liam Farrelly, Scotland’s undisputed comedy wonderkid. Since bursting on to the scene as a 17-year-old, Farrelly’s rise has been so fast that the word “meteoric” hardly seems adequate. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo and Scot Squad, was a finalist in the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, won the Frog & Bucket World Series and has played all of the finest clubs in Scotland and further afield.

Supporting Liam will be Fearghas Kelly, another homegrown stand-up with a reputation for delivering the funnies. Kelly has twice been shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award and last year reached the semi-final of the famed ‘So You Think You're Funny?’ competition.
Our host will be Roddy Cairns, fresh off the ferry from Argyll to deliver an outsider’s view of Glasgow and all its delights. We’ll also have short 5-minute sets from some of the best emerging comedy talents on the Glasgow scene.
Best of all, the entire caper is absolutely free! Come on, what more could you possibly ask for on a Monday night?
