The much loved Newlands Fete is back on Saturday 6th September... a fun-filled community fair in the heart of Newlands, raising funds for local causes & bringing everyone together!
About Newlands Fete
The much-loved Newlands Fête is back this September with an afternoon of family fun, games, and community spirit in the heart of Newlands Park.
Highlights include:
• The Newlands Bake Off – show off your best two-layer cake for a chance to be crowned Star Baker 2025.
• Adult Bake Off judging by Great British Bake Off finalist James Morton alongside the Dandelion Café team.
• Children’s Activities – face painting and hair fun, pond dipping with the Pollok Park Rangers, creating a bug hotel for the park, kids’ tombola, treasure hunts, crafts and more.
• Scouts & Guides stalls – games galore including welly-wanging, guess the weight of the cake, sweets in a jar, name the teddy, and more.
• Charity & community stalls – local groups including Dotty’s fundraising for The Beatson, the Folks Music Project, and other charities.
• Tombola & raffles – great prizes to be won!
• Tea & cake served by the Scouts, plus plenty of home baking after the Bake Off judging.
This is a free community event organised by local volunteers and supported by Scouts, Guides, schools and charities. Everyone is welcome – bring your friends, family, and neighbours along for an afternoon of fun in beautiful Newlands Park.
