JOSH KELLY: “An ambitious Indie Pop artist from Airdrie/Glasgow. Headlining Room 2 ahead of his exciting upcoming debut EP release, Josh is aiming to make a name for himself at the end of this year, with a big future ahead of him in 2024. With a distinctly unique and recognisable voice, Josh is influenced by the likes of Joy Division, The Drums, The Cure and The Vaccines.”
COSMIC EMPIRE: “Running off the back of their debut show, Cosmic Empire look to entice the audience with their unique sound and soaring melodies.”
THE STREAMS: “Four childhood friends based in the Glasgow area. Launching their debut single, ‘When Will You Love Again’, coming out of lockdown, the band have since played several boutique festivals and released a string of EPs and singles to great fan reaction and radio play. They are part of a new wave of young indie bands making their name in the vibrant Glasgow scene having played iconic venues such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and Stereo.”
VANDERLYE: “A newly formed alternative rock outfit from Glasgow who hail from all parts of the city. Their sound is an infusion of anthemic and lively indie rock marked with introspective and political lyrical observations and atmospheric soundscapes. Following the success of their debut single ‘Malleable Soul’ and sold-out debut show at Nice N Sleazy, the band are set to release their next single ‘Guilty Lovers & Heartbreak Serenades’ which will coincide with their next show at Room 2 supporting Josh Kelly. The band draw strong influence from their love of 80’s post-punk and indie music such as The Cure, U2 and The Smiths, and are also influenced by more contemporary bands such as The War on Drugs, Fontaines D.C. and Wolf Alice.”
