The Glasgow Gallery will host Jolomo's largest exhibition this year, 'The Glorious Light Of The West' showcases 50 newly painted works that brilliantly capture the infamous light of the West Coast!
About A Solo Exhibition by Jolomo - The Glorious Light Of The West
Jolomo has painted in all sorts of locations across Europe however finds himself consistently returning to the Scottish scenery of the West where he describes the air as being “purer” and the light as "glorious". These works are inspired by the way the light and air work together, painted in Jolomo’s signature expressionist style and distinctive use of powerful colour. Since his first solo exhibition in 1976, he has painted his way to being a famed figure in Scottish Contemporary Art.
He has been awarded an OBE for his services to art and charity in Scotland, been named in “Scotland’s Greatest Ever…” by The Sunday Times readers and received Honorary Doctorates from the University of the West of Scotland and Abertay Dundee University.
This exhibition is certainly not one to miss!
