Glasgow Historical Association Talk: Memories of the 1820 Radical War

About Glasgow Historical Association Talk: Memories of the 1820 Radical War

The ‘Radical Rising’ or ‘Radical War’ of 1820 was a week of strikes and unrest in Scotland that resulted in the trial of a number of ‘radicals’ for the crime of treason. It was the last armed uprising on Scottish soil, with the intent of establishing a radical republic.

Professor Gerard Caruthers FRSE will be the speaker.
