Partick Film Festival takes place in unique venues across Partick in the West End of Glasgow. It is an opportunity for movie lovers to come together and enjoy a variety of films from around the world. We have curated a selection of films that showcase the best of cinema and represent diverse perspectives. Join us for an unforgettable experience!

Monday 19th January
Festival launch night: 30th Anniversary Screening of Rob Roy + Q&A.
Screening of Rob Roy, followed by Q&A with director Michael Caton-Jones
Venue: Grosvenor Picture Theatre, Ashton Lane
Tuesday 20th January
WGGB Screenwriting Event at Partick Library (FREE).
Screenwriters Andrea Gibb (Mayflies, Miss Austen), Maryam Hamidi (Vigil, Lockerbie), Kathleen Isaac (Gangs of London, Crime) and Kim Millar (Casualty, River City) panel talk.

Wednesday 21st January
Short Film Masterclass (FREE)
Rob Haig (Slingshot, Hula), Laura Harvey (Hogmanay) and Marcus McPeake (Your Picture Gets Mine, For Gracie) discuss how to make a short film.

Thursday 22nd January
River City – A Shieldinch Celebration (FREE)
The cast from the TV show River City in conversation with Paul English. They’ll be discussing their memories and their thoughts on the final ever series.

Friday 23rd January
Short Films and Awards at the Kelvin Hall (FREE).
A selection of short films from Scotland and beyond, followed by awards ceremony – hosted by Atta Yaqub.

Saturday 24th January
Kids drama workshop at Partick Library (FREE).
Hosted by Halo Arts

Sunday 25th January
Film Themed Silent Disco at West Side Tavern.
To close the festival, we’ll be hosting a film themed silent disco at West Side Tavern in Partick.
