Artists at the Round:
Scott McPherson
Scott McPherson is a 28-year-old Scottish multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter from Glasgow. Drawing influence from Guy Clark, Bob Dylan, James Booker and Tony Rice, Scott’s musical tastes are diverse and span a great plethora of rhythms and poetic lyrical concepts.
The musical terrain covered in his compositions shows his musical diversity, having recorded, toured and played for many different artists from a wide spread of disparate musical genres. His main creative output is within his band, The Black Denims, Glasgow’s bluegrass and country supergroup.
Adam Thom
Adam Thom is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter, originating from Aberdeen. Since making the move to Glasgow in July of 2021, he has been able to pursue his dream of a music career and explore his creativity and work with some of Glasgow’s finest musicians.
From influences such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and The Band, Adam is keeping country and American music alive through his songs.
Adam brightly shines and sounds well beyond his years with his intricate story-driven lyrics, taking the audience on a journey through his truly skilled songwriting.
Pippa Blundell
Pippa Blundell is a Glasgow-grown songstress. Her lyrics are prominent and raw whilst her gentle accompanying guitar and layered vocal harmony wrap you in a blanket and hug you.
Her sound is influenced by her classical vocal roots, by the storytelling of folk artists and by contemporary urban tales and ambient sounds, culminating in a modern, hushed and intense experience that soothes yet soars.
Andrew Thom Neil
Glasgow-based Andrew Thom Neil has been writing and performing music in various guises for the past ten years, most notably with bands the Hoojamamas and Starship Nicola.
Releasing music and performing sell-out shows and festivals (including Doune The Rabbit Hole and Eden Festival), Andrew's music blends the emotion of blues with resonant melodies to create an introspective sound. Inspired by the world around him and within, Neil’s music is accompanied by lyrics that often emulate the storytelling of 1960/70’s folk and psychedelia.
